concept
This piece reflects on an odd presence which penetrates our inner world without being invited, neither required, nor desired. An intruder whichstarts expanding little by little, like cancer in the body, goes on gradually occupying more and more space of our Self until totally displacing it. It´s an abduction from the inside that is gaining the inner ground bit by bit, squeezing our identity, dominating our Self, leaving it without control, exiling it.
Uninvited presence alludes to our desire to liberate ourselves from internal restrictions and to the inevitable transformation that takes part of this process. We discover how the subject, overflowed by the interior conflict, is fading away little by little up to the status of complete exhaustion and loss of control. Nevertheless, despite feeling inept and useless, the living being, because of the desire to live, keeps advancing whatever the conditions are, whatever the cost is.
The piece is constructed via the exploration of the internal movement, of the emotions and their reflection in the body. The corporal images define the ideas of an intruder, an occupation, a desire to liberate oneself, a loss of control, a struggle to carry on, a hope and a persistence - the piece contains all these images that go on occurring as a story line.

synopsis
One inch of fragility and delicacy. I open my eyes to perceive the fascinating world and, suddenly, I find myself in a total darkness. The blackness usurps me eternally. I cannot see. I cannot breathe. Without you, I dream of you. I desire to be absent, to gain you.
